The Association for Development Cooperation is the specialist agency of the German Catholics for international cooperation. It is the oldest German personnel agency and was founded in 1959 on the initiative of Catholic associations and organizations. In collaboration with partner organizations in Germany and overseas the AGEH as a government-recognized personnel agency provides qualified and open-minded men and women to work in development cooperation projects operated by church organizations in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and in the reformed countries of eastern Europe. On this web site they compiled detailed information for you about themselves and about the work of development workers in cooperation projects.

The German Development Service (DED) is one of the leading european development services for personnel cooperation. It was founded in 1963: since then more than 13 000 development workers have committed themselves to improving the living conditions of people in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Almost 1 000 development workers are currently working in approximately 40 countries.

The CrossCulture Internships Programme provides an opportunity to young professionals and volunteers from Germany and countries of the Islamic world to broaden their professional and political skills and to gather international experience by a sojourn in the host country – the strengthening of civil society structures and its peace capacities being one of the aims of the programme. The internships encourage the intercultural dialogue between Germany and the Islamic world and sustainably support networking within their cultures.
