Student Parliament (STUPA) and Student Union (ASTA)

StuPa is elected by all students and represents the student body in legal affairs. StuPa is independent of the ASH’s committees with respect to political, cultural and social activities. For instance, it represents students’ interests at committee meetings. AstA has an executive function. It deals with various issues concerning student life and services. For instance, AstA should be consulted about questions students have concerning various issues on the rights of students. AstA is mandated to negotiate with the public transport services about reduced prices for tickets[1]. AstA also organizes parties usually at the beginning of a semester. Additionally, the International Student Card (ISIC) that grants reductions on a range of items and services can be obtained during office hours.
